52 CCT – Paper Flowers

I have another challenge entry, a Christmas card this time, it's for the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown – Paper Flowers.

I gave the letter and sentiment die cuts a bit more stability by cutting them a few times from white card, sticking them on top of each other then adding the colour cut out on top. I have seen this done quite a few times on some card vids but not tried it yet, worth a go and I am definately gonna be doing this again, it adds just enough diamention without all the fiddly foam pads.

Thanks for Looking, Lorry :o) xx

Ingredients:
Stamps: Petite Petals from Stampin' Up!
Dies: By The Letter from Die-namics and Christmas Script from Memory Box.
Embossing Folder: The Snowman – Snowflakes.
Embellishments: Flat Backed Gems from Hobby Craft.

Fab Friday 37

3 in one day!! (challenges I mean, scroll down for the other 2).

When I saw the Fab Friday 37 Sketch Challenge it just screamed neon to me, don't know why but that's just how my skatty mind works sometimes.

I had some cheap as chips neon paper kicking around but it was way too thin for die cutting so I stuck it to some card stock which did the trick just fine. A simple little card that could work quite well for those difficult teens?!

Thanks for looking, Lorry :o) xx

Here is my effort

and here is the sketch

Stamps: Sentiment Sampler from Paper Smooches.

HSS Color Challenge #181

I am trying to get back into the swing of entering challenges. I know I keep saying this and life keeps getting in the way but anyhow here goes for another try.

I have been doing the Clean and Simple 3 One Layer Cards Card Class and I tried to make this a one layer card, but, I totally messed up stamping the sentiment in the masked off circular area so I had to do a quick cut and shut to put it right. It's nearly a one layer card, well almost! I added an extra colour into the mix as well (pool party, hope that's allowed). I tried using the navy but it looked too bold and then tried the orange and yellow but that looked pants as well so I went with the pool party.

Thanks for looking, Lorry :o) xx

Here is my entry for the Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #181.

Here is the color combo

Ingredients:
Stamps: Basic Stripes and Many Thanks from Clearly Besotted and the sentiment is a freebie from Craft Stamper magazine.
Dies: Classic Circles Nestabilities.

A Poppy Thank You

I got some new stamps from my lovely friend Pat earlier in the week and I got a chance to have a play with them today.

The inspiration for this card is from a video I saw by the very talented Lindsey, The Frugal Crafter, she was drawing and colouring on an old book page (link here). I thought I would give it a go but as I don't have any old books (a trip to the local charity shop should fix that), I used some newsprint DSP from Stampin' Up! I used my Inktense pencils to colour the poppy, I wanted it nice and bold to stand out.

Thanks for looking, Lorry :o) xx

Ingredients:
Pattern Papers: Newsprint from Stampin' Up! Story Teller from Crate Paper and Ad Lib by Bo Bunny. I also used some tracing paper from Wilkinsons.
Stamps: Simply Sketched and Hardwood from Stampin' Up!
Punches: Notebook by Fiskars.
Embellishment: Hemp Twine from Stampin' Up!
